NJHS-Sponsored Holiday
Toy Drive

The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) at CMCS would like to announce our 2022 Caterpillars to Butterflies Toy Drive!

Caterpillars to Butterflies is an organization whose mission is to help our local foster children achieve transformation, creativity, and their endless potential.

From Tuesday, November 1st through Friday, November 18th, we are asking all families to donate gifts for children from infancy to teen years. For convenience, gifts are listed on the linked Amazon Wish List and will go directly to organization. We will collect any other gifts during morning car line, though we strongly encourage you to order off the wish list.

We hope that our efforts as a community will give foster children and their families the joy they deserve this holiday season. Thank you for your support.

Professional Development Noon Dismissal Day

We have a Noon Dismissal this Wednesday, November 2. Students will be dismissed based on the following schedule:

Lower Elementary: 12:00 - 12:15 pm

Upper Elementary/Middle School/Lower Elementary Siblings: 12:15 - 12:30 pm

After Care is only available for those who signed up.

*Students will eat lunch at school on these days.*

Cultural Fair

Our Cultural Fair is back! On Thursday, November 3, 2022, parents, friends, and families are all invited as our students present their projects related to studies of the Continents. This is one of our signature events, and we are incredibly excited to share it with our CMCS community.

Times are as follows:
8:45 - 9:40 am Middle School
9:45 - 10:40 am Upper Elementary
10:45 - 11:40 am Lower Elementary

We are looking for volunteers to assist with parking for this event. Please email giving@cmcsmontessori.com if you are interested.

Turkey Trot & Friendship Feast

CMCS is hosting our annual Turkey Trot & Friendship Feast on Friday, November 18th. Students will be encouraged to walk, jog, trot, or run during this event. We will then gather as a group to enjoy time as a community during our annual Friendship Feast.

The cost for this event is $20 and includes a raffle entry for a chance to win a gift card (one per level), fun at the event, & a traditional Thanksgiving feast. The Thanksgiving Feast, catered by Blessed Kitchen, includes: turkey with gravy, macaroni and cheese, green beans, stuffing, & dinner roll. We will also need 20 Volunteers for these events.

Field Trips

Field Trip deposits for students in Grades 3, 6, 7, & 8 are due on Friday, November 4th.

Holiday Shop Crafters Needed

Enjoy making crafts? If so, our Holiday Shop will love you! We need your help to add a special touch to the offerings for our Holiday Shop! All items are due by Thanksgiving Break.

REMINDER:

On uniform days, students may ONLY wear the official CMCS hoodie and/or uniform pullover sweatshirt. No other hoodies or sweatshirts/pullovers are allowed on uniform days. If they wear a jacket, it must be able to zip/button from top to bottom.

Important Health Information

Advertising Opportunities! Banner Advertising

CMCS would like to offer local businesses an opportunity to advertise with a banner along our main thoroughfare of the school. The cost of the banner is $300. If you own a business or know a business that would be interested in advertising,
please email giving@cmcsmontessori.com.

Please note this important car line information:

  • If you are in front of the school and in the LEFT lane, you MUST turn LEFT out of the school.
  • If you are in front of the school and in the RIGHT lane, you MUST turn RIGHT out of the school.
  • Please use the parking lot for overflow and zipper merge into car line.
  • When you are in the loading/unloading zone, you MUST put your car in PARK. A staff member or Safety Patrol will open your car door; students should never open their own doors.
  • Do NOT use your cell phone, iPad etc. while in car line.
  • You MUST have a current year, school-issued car sign to pick up your child in car line. Please hang from the mirror or put in an easily visible spot the car signs for ALL students you are picking up that day.
