There are times when parents need to express concerns or questions to the school regarding a variety of topics. CMCS strongly believes that parents should contact the individual(s) most appropriate to address their area of concern/question.
For the most part, all communication should start with the teachers. If you have concerns/questions, please contact your child’s teachers first. If the issue is not clarified, you would then contact the Head of School and/or Director of Operations. Contacting the CMCS Board of Directors would be the last step if your concern/question has not been satisfactorily addressed by the teachers or CMCS Administration. Please see the CMCS website for a complete list of contact information for our staff. We have provided a link on the CMCS website under Parent Dashboard to the Pasco County School’s District website concerning any ethical violations.
Respect & Civility Policy
All employees, parents, and visitors of CMCS shall behave with civility, fairness, and respect in dealing with fellow employees, students, parents, patrons, visitors, and anyone else having business with the CMCS. Uncivil behaviors are prohibited. Uncivil behaviors shall be defined as any behavior that is physically or verbally threatening, either overtly or implicitly, as well as behaviors that are coercive, intimidating, violent, or harassing.
This policy promotes mutual respect, civility and orderly conduct among all school employees, students, parents and the general public. The policy is not intended to deprive any person of his or her right to freedom of expression. Rather, it is intended to maintain, to the extent that is possible and reasonable, a safe, harassment-free workplace for students, families, and staff, that is free of disruptive, demeaning, intimidating, threatening or aggressive behaviors.
Consider a medical evaluation for:
*A child who has fever with a temperature greater than 100 degrees (orally), has been vomiting, or has diarrhea should stay home for 24 hours AFTER the symptoms are gone.
*Children of all ages need 8-10 hours of sleep at night and good nutrition including adequate fluids (milk, juice, water).
